Why we rent out our home

We want to rent our family house for the summer as we plan to spend this time together on our new land, where we are preparing to build our next cabin.
Experience from last summer
We have already spent most of the summer 2024 there and realized that this is the best decision. Staying on the land, we can focus on the construction, enjoy evenings by the lake with Alex and reduce the travel time between St. Germain and Watersmeet.
Renting out the house will also help us financially. We are currently in the final stages of our first project in Watersmeet, and although we do most of the construction ourselves, the material costs are still high.
This decision combines two important things: spending more time together and replenishing our family budget. We already have experience from the summer of 2021, when we experienced a full-fledged summer construction while building this house.
